Network Leadership & Design

Lindsay Wallace Michael
Director of ELA Content

Lindsay leads ELA district support and the development of ELA professional learning materials and program sessions as the Director of ELA Content for Network 1 at Leading Educators.

Lindsay’s “Why”

As a college student tutoring children in a neighborhood just outside of Chicago, Lindsay felt deeply concerned about the disparity she noticed between her educational experience and those of the children she tutored. That experience and a growing awareness of societal inequities motivated Lindsay to pursue classroom teaching in Prince George’s County, Maryland, near her hometown.

Lindsay’s Journey

Prior to joining Leading Educators, Lindsay contributed to school transformation efforts at TNTP, where she coached school leaders, instructional coaches, and teachers on academic strategy, professional learning structures, curriculum, and classroom instruction. She also previously worked as a Design Specialist for DC Public Schools, where she supported school leaders with conducting consistent classroom observations and providing high-quality feedback to teachers.

Lindsay holds a B.A. in English Language and Literature from the University of Maryland and an M.A. in Education Policy from The George Washington University. She lives just outside of Boston in Waltham, Massachusetts, where she spends her free time cooking, listening to podcasts on walks along the Charles River, attending yoga classes, and singing in a local choir.

Fun fact: Lindsay’s cat Yogi frequently joins her on conference calls.
