Managing Director of Networks
Kim leads Leading Educators' district consulting efforts, supporting district partners in designing, launching, and scaling up their teacher leadership efforts. Prior to joining Leading Educators, Kim spent five years in the Office of Human Capital at DC Public Schools.
Over the course of her time in DCPS, Kim was responsible for the ongoing design of IMPACT, DCPS’s teacher evaluation system, and led the design and implementation of new teacher leader roles and professional development through the district’s Teacher Leadership Innovation initiative. Kim began her career as a sixth grade English teacher in the Rio Grande Valley as a Teach For America corps member, where she was a finalist for the Sue Lehmann Award for Excellence in Teaching. She graduated from Penn State University’s Schreyer Honors College with a B.A. in Political Science and a B.A. in Communications and now lives in Columbia, South Carolina.
