Washington, D.C. Leadership Coach
Johnnette is responsible for direct coaching of Fellows, session delivery, and relationship development in the DC Fellowship. She is an experienced educational leader who has devoted over thirteen years to student and teacher growth. Her journey in the field of education began in Dallas, TX in 2003. Johnnette is passionate about building a future in which all students receive access to a high quality education. In her years of experience, Johnnette has set high expectations for both students and teachers and supported them to achieving their goals. Throughout her career, Johnnette served as a team lead, reading specialist, instructional coach, staff developer, administrator, and many other leadership roles. In her role as Leadership Coach, she will continue to assist in developing reflective and self-aware practitioners who will strategically lead their schools and students to academic success. Johnnette’s goal is to prepare educators and students to become agents of change in their communities and world.
Johnnette holds a Bachelor of Arts degree in Journalism from Langston University in Oklahoma and a Master’s degree in Curriculum with a specialization in Literacy from Grand Canyon University in Arizona.
