Program Director for Empower (Tulsa)
Erin is an education consultant who is passionate about working with school districts to reimagine their professional development model to ensure all students receive an excellent education. As the Program Director of Tulsa Empower at Leading Educators, she leads the Tulsa team in providing professional development that advances Tulsa Public School teachers’ leadership skills and opportunities.
Erin has worked to support teachers and students in a variety of roles throughout her career, including as an instructional coach, a senior district leader, a school building leader, and an associate professor. She began her career in education as part of the inaugural cohort of Teach For America corps members in Tulsa, OK. Erin has spent a decade working for education equity in Tulsa and hopes to continue to invest in the Tulsa community by finding new and innovative ways to improve all students' access to educational opportunities.
Erin holds a Master of Education in Educational Administration, Curriculum and Supervision from the University of Oklahoma and a bachelor’s degree from The Ohio State University. She is currently pursuing her doctorate.
In her spare time Erin serves as a mentor to incarcerated women through Resonance's Choosing to Change reentry program, volunteers as a buddy through Reading Partners, and is a board member at Urban Coders Guild, a nonprofit organization that provides underrepresented students with training in coding and mobile application development by integrating lessons in design thinking and entrepreneurship.
