Emily designs and facilitates professional development to build the capacity of Teacher Leaders. Before joining Leading Educators, Emily worked as a coach, designer and facilitator supporting district and school leaders and teachers to create systems and structures to transform teaching and learning to ensure equity for students. She was responsible for opening and delivering services for strategic partnerships, which included customizing delivery and building and managing relationships with leaders in districts of all sizes across the country. She has also worked designing experiences for online and social learning platforms and loves to think about different ways of supporting adult learning to deepen practice.
Emily started her career as an elementary teacher in San Jose, California, and her students continue to provide focus, inspiration and guidance for her work for equity, even though they’re all grown up. She graduated Magna Cum Laude from University of New Mexico with a B.A. in Political Science and History.
