Network Leadership

Claudine Andrews
Director of Content - Math

Claudine uses her content knowledge and experience in and out of schools to partner with teachers and school leaders to support their leadership and build their content knowledge. She works to build teacher capacity and understanding of instructional practices as it relates to Common Core State Standards and shifts for math as an Instructional Leadership Coach at Leading Educators.

Claudine’s Journey

Before joining Leading Educators, Claudine provided targeted, individualized coaching supports for new and experienced teachers in schools within the Academy for Urban School Leadership (AUSL) network of Chicago Public Schools. Her role as a Network Turnaround Coach focused on establishing positive school and classroom culture and  promoting the development of effective classroom instructional and management skills. The role evolved into Lead Coach, supporting teachers, teacher leaders, school leaders, and other coaches in deepening their understanding of standards aligned instruction for math through coaching support and professional development. Prior to her work at AUSL, Claudine was a Middle School teacher through the Inner City Teaching Corps, and more recently a teacher and Math Coach at the University of Chicago Charter School - Donoghue Campus.

Claudine holds a B.S in Sociology from Boston College and a M.S.Ed from Northwestern University.

She lives outside of Chicago with her husband, Sam III, and their two children, Mara and Sam IV, spending her free time playing and singing with her toddlers.

What inspires Claudine: Being an educator in Chicago for the last 17 years! It is so exciting to run into my former students and see what amazing individuals they are growing up to be.

Fun-fact: Claudine aspires to be a Broadway singer.
