Chief Learning Officer
As Chief Learning Officer, Chong-Hao leads Leading Educators' Partnership, District Consulting, Storytelling & Development, and Thought Leadership teams.
In this capacity, he is charged with cultivating and finalizing new district partnerships as well as providing planning support to new partners prior to program launch. During this process, Chong-Hao leads a team that helps new partners identify their professional learning priorities and develop the roadmap for Leading Educators’ three- to five-year arc of support.
In his prior role as Chief Program Officer, Chong-Hao was responsible for training over 1,600 teacher leaders in Washington D.C., New Orleans, Houston, Kansas City, Denver, and Memphis. Chong-Hao has presented to the Gates Foundation, American Federation of Teachers, and the Aspen Institute and is the lead author of an Aspen Institute White Paper entitled “Leading from the Front of the Classroom.” Before his time at Leading Educators, Chong-Hao was the founding principal at KIPP Sharpstown in Houston, one of the highest performing schools in the city and one of the few fine arts schools dedicated to serving lower income students. He holds a B.A. from Yale University and a M.Ed. from National Louis University.
